Studying a Bachelor of Nursing in New Zealand can be a very good decision. Nursing as a profession is much in demand and students are able to gain work experience for 3 years on a post-study work visa after. This may lead to a residency pathway. Hospitals and elderly care homes are constantly recruiting nurses to keep up with New Zealand’s ageing population.
Whether you would like to study nursing at a university or in an Institute of Technology, there are great options for you. A couple of institutions that are very popular right now for nursing are;
- Auckland University of Technology – has one of the most famous nursing schools in New Zealand, graduating large numbers of nurses every year. AUT is a top pick for both local and international students. Nursing faculty are extremely experienced. Nursing has been a core focus at AUT for a very long time.
- There are a range of Institutes of Technology. One that we work with closely for nursing is Ara Institute of Canterbury. Students often appreciate reduced fees and lower living costs in Christchurch. For this reason Ara is also very popular with international students.
No matter your nursing goal, we can help you! And if you already have a bachelor in either nursing or another discipline, let us know. You might qualify for a Master of nursing and be able to graduate as a registered nurse in a shorter period of time.
